Product Review: Night Face Cream by Everyday Coconut

I have entered a phase in my life where all natural products is very important to me when it comes to my beauty regiment.  It began with becoming pregnant which then meant using beauty products that did not include parabens, sulfates and other unnatural, possibly harmful chemicals. Hence I came to my first introduction to all natural beauty products, which, unsurprisingly my skin absolutely loved. I ransacked my bathroom and stored away my old shampoos, body washes, facial creams and etc, and replaced them with all natural shampoos, body washes, facial creams and etc.  But just because I had taken quite easily to all natural beauty products did not mean my wallet was going to adjust as quickly or as happily, all natural beauty products can be quite expensive and so the hunt for good natural products that were affordable went under way.

I found it the easiest to hunt for the all natural beauty products at the Wholefoods beauty section, where it seems most if not all are made with all natural ingredients. I began with one and slowly continued my search, affordability was the hardest thing to find, then I came across Everyday Coconut night face cream. I was looking for a night time face cream that both my husband and I could use together, at a little over eight dollars for a 12 fluid ounce pump bottle, this was by far the most affordable general night time face cream I had come across. The first three ingredients listed on the back of the bottle is Coconut, Water and Neem- absolutely great! Three key ingredients I can really stand behind. The description of the cream on the back of the bottle says:

rich, moisturizing cream renews and repairs your skin overnight with Certified Fair Trade coconut oil, restoring firmness and elasticity. Papaya and Kpangnan butter nourish skin, reducing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. All skin types are renewed, smoother and more radiant in the morning.

RESULTS AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS:
I used it for a couple of days as directed, I stood infront of the mirror and took a good look at the skin on my face, was it just me or did my skin actually look smoother and feel more nourished, more healthy?

RESULTS AFTER TWO-WEEKS OF USE:
It now has been over two weeks since I have first started using Everyday Coconut night face cream, I still love it and still feel as if my skin is benefitting from the use.  Eight dollars for 12 fluid ounces, for every skin type... and it totally works, I do believe the hunt for an affordable all natural facial cream has ended.  My suggestion is to buy a bottle and try it out and if you find that you do not like it simply return it, Wholefoods has a great return policy on their beauty products.

The Simple black sandal from Cynthia Vincent

The feet have been scrubbed and the nails have been polished! It is summertime! And that means the teeny-tiny black sandals are coming out of the closet. In celebration of the return of the teeny-tiny black sandals I've looked around for a good pair for those of you in need of a suggestion to replenish your stock for the coming season and was able to choose one, just one, that I really do love for its simplicity, the Fae sandals by Cynthia Vincent (below).

FASHION STOP! Leigh Lezark as we've never seen her before

Leigh Lezark in Dsquared

It was something of a big surprise to me when Leigh Lezark dyed her beautiful jet black hair to blonde, and in a recent photo of her I found myself asking her "so what do you think Leigh? Do blondes have more fun?" I'm not quite sure whether she's having more fun in general, but it certainly seems so when it comes to fashion.

Film costume comparison: The Great Gatsby V.S. The Great Gatsby

If there is one other thing Baz Luhrmann can do other than make films it is to make remake classics into a more modern and MORE eye-popping film. The phrase "Eye candy" comes into mind. When we think of Baz Luhrmann we automatically think of the modern remake of Romeo & Juliet which I believe most of us loved, of course the modern setting.... and costumes were a big part of what we loved about it. It was a fresh look to a classis story and this is exactly what Luhrmann did with his most recent project, The Great Gatsby, putting a old story we all know and love into a modern setting which also means a more modern look to the costumes.
